A Letter from Martha

Dear Parents:

Achieving scores on college entrance examinations that are commensurate with a student’s potential is the result of not only a rigorous high school course of study and extensive reading but also familiarization with the tests’ format and content. Test preparation courses provide these insights, and I offer such instruction through my comprehensive courses and workshops. I am uniquely qualified:

  • I have taught test preparation courses in Greater Cincinnati for more than forty-three years.
  • I have a reputation for accessibility: I always attend to questions or concerns of a student or parent in a timely manner.
  • I update my lesson plans and practice materials to incorporate changes to the PSAT/SAT and PreACT/ACT.
  • I was director of the College Information Center at Walnut Hills High School from 1998 until February 2019.
  • I have presented test preparation and professional development workshops at several College Board Forums, at Mayerson Academy and at numerous high schools.

Soon I will begin another series of preparation courses that will include instruction for the redesigned PSAT/SAT and for the PreACT/ACT. In class the students will refine their mathematical and critical reading skills, expand their vocabularies and develop test-taking strategies. And thanks to the wonders of technology, after each class I provide to families individualized reports of student strengths and areas needing improvement.

By submitting an online form, you can register a student for one of the courses I will be offering at University of Cincinnati Blue Ash, 9555 Plainfield Road. For further information about college entrance examinations or about my courses and workshops, please refer to the various resources provided here on my website or contact me at (513) 608-1140.

Sincerely,

Martha B. Geller
